I asked you what you wanted for Mother’s day this year, and below are the answers I got. I want my husband and kids to give me everything listed, but that is me wishing hard for a miracle to happen. This list is full of ideas and items to show any mom appreciation and love for giving life. If this list is for yourself, I suggest sending this list to your significant other so they can start to plan your special day. Motherhood is…
• Dealing with constant emotional mood swings
• Being fueled by caffeine 24/7
• Always exhausted and your feet and brain hurts
• Having to fake a smile when you are stressed out all the time
• Bribing your child with candy to do what you want them to do
• Being able to change a diaper before your baby turns. Typically within 10 seconds
• Taking your first sip of coffee after reheating it 3 times
• Doing their school work with them and asking Siri for help
• Balancing work, playing with your kids, cleaning the house, cooking, making your husband happy, and trying to find time for yourself
• Knowing all the cool kids songs, baby songs, kids shows.
• Giving up all the songs and shows you want to watch and listen to
• Making sure your kids grow up to be good people
• Putting your kids first 99% of the time but loving every second
• Buying more stuff for your kids than yourself
• Making sure your kids are safe
• Waking up to every little noise you hear in the middle of the night
• Feeding your kids first and then binge eating when you have a few minutes for yourself
At the end of the day you know you were super mom and have to do it all over again tomorrow!
