ALIANA’S ONE YEAR FLAMINGLE PINEAPPLE PARTY

Aliana turning one year old is a huge deal! Her first birthday celebration with all the people who love her. This party was also for us as new parents getting through the first year. Planning a party is not always easy. First I had to come up with a theme. When I was window shopping, I kept seeing all these flamingo and pineapple decorations in a lot of stores. So we thought having a flamingle & pineapple theme would be so much fun as an outdoor backyard birthday party, especially since the weather in June is gorgeous in Los Angeles. Now that the theme was all set, time to start planning.

Being the perfectionist that I am, everything had to be perfect. Even though I know Aliana might not remember much for her first birthday, I wanted to give her along with our guests a great time. We wanted backyard games, a Dj (my uncle is a DJ), Filipino food, lots of desserts, alcohol, and non-alcohol beverages, and more. Everything was coming together slowly.

In this post, I am going to feature what I bought for each station. Also, I decided to take her one year photos at home myself. Watching her eat cake for the first time was the cutest! However, on the day of her birthday, she didn’t really care to have cake as much as her she did during the photoshoot.

The party was a success, and everyone had a great time. Aliana even skipped her nap even though we tried to put her down multiple times. She was having so much fun. As for me, I was exhausted and fell asleep so quickly once I laid in bed haha! Planning a party and coordinating everything takes up much time. If you don’t have time to plan a big party, do not attempt to do it. Just keep everything simple. I did not, and I was a bit stressed out before the party started. Luckily, I did have help from my family. I recommend getting things ready days ahead of time and setting up as much as you can the day before so you don’t have to stress the day of the party. Knowing my personality, I would have done everything all over again haha.
